Automotive · Case study
Setting an automotive manufacturer’s AI strategy and rollout plan.
A premium automotive manufacturer organized fragmented AI initiatives into a shared target, prioritized use cases and a rollout roadmap.

Client context
The business context.
A premium automotive manufacturer recognized AI’s importance, but its attention had largely centered on AI-enabled products. Initiatives elsewhere in the business lacked coordination, and pilots were not becoming solutions deployed at scale.
The company needed a shared view of AI’s potential and a consistent way to prioritize use cases. Its roadmap also had to address the structures and capabilities required to extend the work beyond the initial pilot functions.
The work
How the engagement was delivered.
Establish a common assessment approach
Selected and assessed pilot functions, prioritized where to begin and refined common tools and methods. This gave the participating teams a consistent basis for evaluating AI opportunities.
Build the functional AI plans
Identified and prioritized use cases within the pilot functions. Assessed their potential effects and set out a roadmap for realizing that potential.
Define how to extend AI across the company
Developed a broader potential assessment and rollout plan. Identified shared enablers and opportunities across functions, alongside the governance needed to coordinate implementation.
What changed
An AI strategy and a company-wide rollout plan.
The engagement produced a common methodology and toolset, an AI target picture, an implementation roadmap and organization-wide governance. The company had a structured plan for extending AI beyond isolated pilots. The outcome was the strategy and rollout preparation, with deployment and benefit realization to follow.
