Client context

The business context.

An energy company had deployed Fieldglass but needed wider adoption and better management of contingent labor. The issue was how the platform fitted into the organization’s governance, business processes and supporting systems.

Changing the operating model and adding interfaces had to be treated as connected work. Responsibilities for worker records, onboarding, offboarding and time information needed to align across procurement, HR and the technology teams.

The work

How the engagement was delivered.

  • Align governance and adoption with platform use

Steered operating-model design covering responsibilities, business processes and change management. Connected the recommendations with how the existing platform would support different contractor populations.

  • Coordinate HR and ERP integration

Steered the design and implementation dependencies for interfaces with SuccessFactors and SAP. Kept HR and time-information requirements connected to the workforce-management processes.

What changed

An operating model supported by new system interfaces.

The work combined a redesigned contingent-labor operating model with implemented HR and time-related interfaces. It supported more consistent worker roles and consolidated supplier-rate information, giving the organization a stronger basis for using its existing platform.
