Client context

The business context.

An insurer had limited management visibility of contingent labor and inefficient supplier management. The program combined procurement capabilities with a workforce platform to bring purchasing, worker and rate information into a more consistent structure.

The delivery spanned several ERP systems and distinct procurement and workforce processes. Job definitions, supplier rates and worker records had to be aligned with the technology scope and carried through testing and deployment.

The work

How the engagement was delivered.

  • Coordinate the procurement and workforce workstreams

Steered delivery across Ariba purchasing, contract and spend capabilities and Fieldglass worker and statement-of-work processes. Managed the dependencies with the surrounding ERP systems.

  • Keep business data and delivery readiness connected

Aligned the work on job templates, rate structures and worker data with design, testing and deployment. Coordinated the transition into post-go-live support across the participating teams.

What changed

More transparent workforce costs and supplier information.

The program consolidated contingent-labor information and established more consistent job and rate structures. Management gained a clearer basis for analyzing supplier charges and workforce spending. These capabilities resulted from the combined implementation, supported by independent program steering.
