Client context

The business context.

A media organization needed better supplier collaboration and a procurement system that was easier to use. Catalog-data management and purchasing against agreed contracts were central to the requirements.

The solution combined cloud services with established SAP ERP and supplier-management systems. Governance and delivery had to span those environments without losing the connection between catalog content, contract compliance and the user experience.

The work

How the engagement was delivered.

  • Align the buying experience and control requirements

Steered the scope for internal and supplier catalogs, contract-aligned purchasing and self-service usability. Connected the business requirements with the changes to both cloud and existing procurement applications.

  • Coordinate delivery across the hybrid landscape

Managed the integration dependencies between Ariba Network, procurement content and the SAP environment. Brought the responsible delivery teams together around the combined solution and its deployment.

What changed

An integrated purchasing solution with simpler self-service.

The implemented modules went live successfully. The resulting solution improved self-service usability and reduced maintenance, with supplier collaboration and catalog access connected to the existing ERP environment.
