Preparing MedTech product data for tenders and customer systems.
A product-data workstream defined ownership, quality measures and a rollout plan for tendering and standardized data exchange.

Client context
The business context.
Within a global MedTech company’s data-management work, a dedicated workstream addressed product information. Healthcare customers needed timely, standardized data, while tender teams needed reliable product attributes to prepare submissions efficiently.
Required data was distributed across source systems and was not consistently ready for its intended use. The company needed to understand which information was available, where quality gaps remained and who would be responsible for maintaining it. Tendering and data exchange had different requirements that needed to be assessed separately.
The work
How the engagement was delivered.
Assess readiness for standardized data exchange
Reviewed how the Global Data Synchronisation Network was used and assessed whether the required product information was available and suitable for publication through it.
Trace tender requirements to source data
Analyzed tender processes, identified required product attributes and assessed their availability and quality. Mapped the relevant source systems, with a focus on SAP, and developed responses to the identified process and data gaps.
Define ownership, measures and rollout
Developed the product-data governance structure, decision bodies and roles. Defined quality indicators and a rollout plan covering both tender requirements and standardized data provision.
What changed
A clear view of data readiness and the work required to improve it.
The workstream delivered a product-data readiness assessment, a documented view of tender-process gaps, a governance design and a rollout plan. Quality indicators made the requirements explicit. Together, these deliverables established the responsibilities and priorities for the implementation phase.
