Client context

The business context.

A telecommunications group wanted procurement to operate with greater coordination and automation. Existing sourcing, contract and spend-analysis tools made it difficult to share information and manage activity consistently across the business.

The program combined a new sourcing and contract platform with legacy-contract migration and integration across SAP and non-SAP systems. Spend reporting had a phased delivery scope, requiring a clear distinction between capabilities already available and subsequent deployments.

The work

How the engagement was delivered.

  • Steer the sourcing and contract transition

Coordinated the move to SAP sourcing and contract management, including legacy-contract migration and ERP integration for supplier registration. Connected these technology changes with the accompanying procurement transformation.

  • Align spend information across systems

Steered the move from legacy reporting toward a shared spend-data structure. Managed the dependencies between source-system data, reporting delivery and the planned expansion of spend coverage.

What changed

Shared sourcing and contract capabilities across the business.

The program established an integrated source-to-contract solution and improved visibility of procurement activity. Spend-analysis coverage was being delivered in phases, with further deployments still scheduled. Independent steering kept the wider reporting ambition connected to the delivery sequence.
